This is the first of a series of Raspberry Pi Projects that my friend, Woei Yih, and I will be doing for school.
The Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to promote teaching of basic computer science in schools and in developing countries. The original model became far more popular than anticipated, selling outside its target market for uses such as robotics. (Wikipedia, 2019)
In this series, I will be sharing some videos of the projects we will be doing with the Raspberry Pi.
Week 1
This week, we used the Pi to control LED lights on a breadboard.
As seen in the video, the LED lights lit up when we ran the python program.
These LED lights can be applied in various useful ways, such as as indicators for certain things.
A good example would be traffic lights. When the cars should stop, the red LED lights light up. When it is almost time for the cars to go, the amber LED lights light up, and the red ones turn off. When the cars can go, the amber lights turn off and the green LED lights turn on.
